Environmental, Social and Governance

GRAIL is focused on solving one of medicine’s biggest healthcare challenges and pursuing a better way to help address the enormous toll that cancer has on patients, their families and society as a whole. As a pioneer leading the way in multi-cancer screening, GRAIL aims to increase the overall population cancer detection rate to improve public health and make a meaningful difference in the trajectory of cancer mortality.

Beyond the impact we strive to make on public health, we are further committed to driving positive impact through our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. We recognize the importance of integrating ESG efforts into our operations and decision-making processes to create value for all stakeholders.

Environmental Responsibility

We are dedicated to managing our environmental footprint. In our efforts to reduce our carbon emissions, we work to implement sustainable practices throughout our supply chain, including recycling initiatives and efficient laboratory practices.

Social Impact

We are committed to making a meaningful impact on patients, employees, and the communities we serve.

Through our innovative approach to improving health outcomes and patient care, we promote expanded access to quality healthcare and broader participation in clinical research.

Through our commitment to fostering an outstanding workplace, we strive to create an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. This commitment is grounded in our belief that our employees are essential to achieving our mission and have been—and will continue to be—a primary driver of our growth and success. We recognize the commitment our employees make to our company and take our responsibility to them seriously.

Through our GRAIL Giving program, our efforts extend beyond our walls through charitable giving, employee volunteerism, and mission-aligned partnerships—all focused on supporting the communities we serve and advancing our mission to detect cancer early and improve lives.

Governance Excellence

Integrity, transparency, and accountability are fundamental to our governance practices. This starts with our independent and well-qualified board of directors. The board guides our governance philosophy and provides oversight of strategy and risk, including the specific responsibility of our Audit Committee to oversee effective risk management. Our governance practices are designed to ensure that we operate according to the highest standards of ethical conduct and in compliance with laws and regulations governing our industry. We regularly review and update our policies, provide ongoing employee training and make our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics available online.
